Kellie fell in love with the culture and beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains after attending the University of Tennessee, nearly 10 years ago. In January 2022, Kellie migrated the 2500 miles from Northern California to Knoxville. She brings with her a diverse resume and over 17 years of animal care experience. Kellie became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2009 and has worked in both veterinary and shelter medicine. Her passion for improving the health and life of animals led her to pursue a specialty in physical rehabilitation. In 2014, Kellie graduated and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) through the University of Tennessee.
Kellie has worked with veterinary surgeons, physical therapists, neurologists, elite canine performance trainers, law enforcement officials, and complimentary (Chinese medicine, acupuncture, chiropractic, CBD, etc.) care professionals from around the globe.
Kellie also takes pride in giving back to the community through her love and knowledge of the human-animal bond. Kellie has worked with non-profit organizations to offer service dog training to military veterans suffering from PTSD, developing canine therapy programs within senior centers, early childhood education workshops (including Girl Scout patch activities), training state/federal court advocacy dogs and has even been honored with a Hero Award through the SPCA.
