We have classes on Saturdays. Training in daycare is a 2 week (8 day) bootcamp to teach basic obedience. There is also an intermediate bootcamp for those that want to continue on.
There are 2-3 manners training sessions each day to work on leash walking, not jumping on people as well as teaching your puppy to focus on you. Our trainer, Therese Dickinson works with the puppies on and off to establish good manners.
There are 2 enrichment sessions that can include scent work, scent puzzles, scent room, obstacle courses, Fitpaws climbing, nature walks, Name games, impulse games, pool (seasonal) and more.
Puppies are exposured to a list of puppy socialization items including Body handling, noises, smells, people, equipment, objects and more. We encourage parents to work with our list to include other exposures that we might not be able to do at daycare.
Our puppies play 1:1 so that we can work on polite playing. Socialization with people and puppy friends are included throughout the day.
We provide several potty breaks to work on potty training. Puppies are in crates on and off all day to encourage polite, calm rest periods. We provide lick mats, kongs or Toppls to help with mental stimulation and relaxation.
We provide 1 Grooming session in Preschool to trim nails, clean ears and get a full bath and dry. With our exposure activity of body handling, this helps lead into trimming nails.
We provide weekly emails, videos and/or pictures for you to follow along in their progress
At the end of the 4-week program there will be a graduation and the presentation of their “memory book”. This book includes pictures, notes and information to help you continue building your puppy into the best they can be.
