Beginner Obedience class that is good for any age dog! Our classes are small with lots of 1:1 attention and help from our trainers. We offer balanced training with no e-collars. Cost is $200 for each 5-week session. Basic skills taught are sit, down, come, stay, wait, leave it, and leash walking, crate training and other general good manners.
Intermediate Obedience class is good for any age dog that has basic skills down! Cost is $200 for each 5-week session. Basic skills reinforced are sit, down, come, stay, wait, leave it, and leash walking, crate training and other general good manners. Fun activities are included to reinforce the training.
Our Novice Rally Class will start April 21st. Rally is a competition obedience sport. Rally includes a range of maneuvers with posted signs to perform with your dog, with the list of skills varying for each course. This differs from traditional obedience competitions, which are more or less the same routine every time. This will be a "drop in" class. You can purchase a package of 5 or 10 passes and attend as often as you can.
Private lessons are great for dogs that need more 1:1 training. Basic skills, manners, reactive dogs can benefit from this private session. Cost is $50 for 1/2 hour and $90 for 1 hour.

Therese has over thirty years experience working with and training many species of animals. Starting out attending training classes with her own personal dogs and then
in 1991, began volunteering and then working at the Florida Audubon Society, Center for Birds of Prey, to rescue, rehabilitate, and release hawks, owls, and eagles. The Center for Birds of Prey is one of nations leading rehabilitation centers for Bald Eagles.
Becoming a licensed Falconer led to working as an animal actor trainer for Universal Studios. In 2000 as part of the cast and crew of Grinchmas, she rescued and trained her dog Spencer to perform as the Grinch’s dog Max. Then in 2001, was part of the team training animals for the live stage show Animal Planet Live.
Friends and neighbors were always asking for help training their dogs, so in 2007, Therese opened her own dog training facility. Teaching everything from, puppy classes, basic obedience, rally, trick classes and therapy dog classes, as well helping with many behavioral issues with clients dogs. She is also a CGC evaluator.
As a consultant, she helped the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando start a therapy dog program with beloved her dog Spencer. The program continues today, helping many patients, nurses, and doctors have a better and brighter day. She continued as a therapy team with Spencer, a golden terrier mix, Little Man, a Cairn terrier mix, and Nikita, a Doberman...volunteering at Serenades, Memory Care Facility. Many of her students have successfully train and passed therapy dog tests.
After many years vacationing in Tennessee, Therese and her husband, Robb moved to the mountains in 2019. They now have two dogs, Wyatt the Bluetick Coonhound and Sawyer the Rat Terrier, along with Grasshopper the Senegal Parrot.
